Total Printer Solution (TPS) Package
Total Printer Solutions (TPS) is a package designed to help customers save costs while at the same time helps keep the environment green by encouraging the use of recycled toner cartridges. This program can help customers dramatically reduce operational cost in two ways; through the use of competitively priced remanufactured toner cartridges & through the reduction in workforce size needed for the service & maintanence of laser printers.
The Total Printer Solutions package includes supply of remanufactured toner cartridges, service and maintenance of printers, printer repair and replacement of printer parts, free printer upgrade, plus a contract of 2 years or more.
With these value-added services customers no longer need worry about costly maintenance of printers
and will be able to allocate these savings toward other areas.
Supply of Remanufactured Toner Cartridges
For the duration of the contract, customers are required to use remanufactured toner cartridges from IVS and
will be supplied with remanufactured toner cartridges for all laser printers. For printer models not yet marketed, customers
will be supplied with OEM cartridges.
Remanufactured toner cartridges will be supplied for these models once available.
Customers will be entitled to replacement/ repair of any defective cartridges & must NOT discard any used cartridges. These must be returned to IVS.
A company representative can be contacted to arrange for retrieval of used cartridges.
Service & Maintenance
All customers are entitled to two service and maintenance checks yearly. However, the frequency of these checks may be increased subject to the usage of the printers. A list of printers under the TPS contract will be provided to customers for tracking service and repair schedules.
Repair & Printer Parts
The printer engine consists of many mechanical parts that could break down due to the element of
wear and tear. Should the printer break down and be in need of repair, this will be carried out at our cost
(including the replacement of parts). All repairs (including replacement of parts) will be done on-site
where possible. In the event that the printer has to be repaired off-site, a replacement printer
(of a similar model where available) will be provided for the convenience of the customers.
In the event that the damaged printer is beyond repair (or if repair costs are too high), a replacement unit
(of a similar model) will be provided . Please refer to Free Printer Upgrade for further details.
The terms stated above are contingent upon proper use of all printers. The printers must not be
subjected to extreme physical or electrical stress.
The free repair and replacement of parts does not cover the following :
any adjustment, repair or part replacement required due to accidents,
misuse, fault and negligence, improper programming, failure or fluctuation
of electrical power supply, air conditioning, humidity control, transportation or
causes other than normal use.
any repairs and/or replacements required once printers have been maintained, serviced
or repaired by contractors other than our own personnel without our prior approval.
Other Exclusion
It does not include the provision of Software Product Services.
Free Printer Upgrade
Upon signing the Total Printer Solutions package, we will provide customers with HP branded printers.
A free printer upgrade may be provided given the following conditions:
The customer requires more printers than what has been provided.
(No.of additional printers to be provided is subject to customers' printing volume and needs).
Existing printers are too old and/or outdated.
Existing printers are damaged beyond repair or estimated repair costs are deemed too
expensive.
An assessment for printer upgrade needs will be conducted jointly between IVS and the
customer. If the above conditions are met, the customer shall then be entitled to receive:
2 units of remanufactured toner cartridges which will be invoiced for every printer installed.
1 set of CMYK remanufactured toner cartridges which will be invoiced with every colour printer installed.
All printers provided will remain the property of IVS and must be returned upon termination of the contract. This arrangement benefits customers by offering them the choice of not having to make costly printer purchases. In addition, they need not then have to keep inventory for these items.

The contract period is for a duration of 2 years and above.
