FAQ on Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

Remanufactured cartridges can save 30% to 60% of the cost than OEM (original equipment manufacturer) cartridges. The quality of our remanufactured toner cartridges is as good as new. Using remanufactured cartridges promote several environmental benefits: it saves energy and conserves natural resources by eliminating the need for new components. Most components in a toner cartridge can be recycled. Otherwise they are dumped into the landfill, exerting heavy burden on the environment.

What?

Q. What are remanufactured Toner Cartridges?
A. It is reusing, reconditioning and refilling of toner cartridges so they can be use again without compromising on the quality when compared to a new cartridge. Before remanufactured toner cartridges are delivered, they undergo a series of rigorous tests to ensure quality. Quoting Canon, “Remanufacturing means refurbishing used products to make them equal in quality to new products. Remanufacturing exerts less burden on the environment than turning parts back into raw materials for input into the manufacturing system or reusing parts in other products.”

Q. What are the benefits of remanufactured toner cartridges?
A. By using remanufactured toner cartridges, you can:
1. Save Money: Remanufactured cartridges can save 30% to 50% of the cost of new cartridges.
2. Save the Environment: Using remanufactured cartridges save energy and conserve natural resources by eliminating the need for new components. Each cartridge that is remanufactured saves 2.5 lbs. or more of plastic and metal from being dumped in a landfill. It conserves an average of 3 quarts of oil from being used to make a new cartridge.

Q. Will using remanufactured toner cartridges void my warranty?
A. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act published by the Federal Trade Commission, a manufacturer cannot deny a consumer's warranty based solely on the fact that that consumer used another vendor's consumables. United States Federal law prohibits any company or person from requiring you to buy their product exclusively. Sadly, the common local practice hardly adheres to this. While we may not have control over unethical actions of any company who do so, we are able to provide free diagnosis and repair services for our clients.

Q. Will a remanufactured cartridge damage my printer?
A. Definitely not. A properly remanufactured cartridge matches the performance of the original. The cartridge you receive from us will be as good as a new one.

Q. Is the print quality of a remanufactured cartridge inferior to a new one?
A. No, there will not be any difference in print quality. We do not simply recharge cartridges, we rebuild them to absolute new condition using premium quality toner and first-rate replacement parts, along with our extensive testing procedures.

How?

Q. How is remanufactured cartridges different from refilled cartridges?
A. We do not sell refilled cartridges. All our cartridges are remanufactured. There is a huge difference between remanufactured and refilled cartridges. A refilled cartridge has been drilled out and refilled with new toner inside which is also known as "drill-n-fill" method. Since the drum and other parts are not reconditioned or replaced, refilled cartridges can cause many problems and may even damage your equipment. Remanufactured cartridges are those that have been remanufactured for another use. Remanufacturing process involves disassembling, cleaning, refilling toner, replacing appropriate components, print testing and repackaging. We remanufactured each cartridge to meet the quality standards of a new cartridge.

Q. How are cartridges remanufactured?
A. A remanufactured cartridge is a cartridge that has been:
1. Completely disassembled
2. All components inspected, separated and cleaned
3. Used drum are replaced
4. New wiper blade installed
5. Used magnetic roller is tested and worn ones are replaced
6. Toner container filled with new toner to original specifications
7. Toner container sealed with pull-out strip to prevent leakage
8. Cartridge reassembled and tested on proper equipment
9. These cartridges are in effect are rebuilt from the ground up.

Why?

Q. My printer hangs at "Processing Job". Why is it so?
Large or graphically complex print jobs can be the culprit of long processing times. Increasing printer memory will shorten these processing times.

Q. Why are there streaks or weak image areas in my copies?
A. Any cartridge, new or remanufactured, can streak if the toner inside is not evenly distributed. To fix, remove the cartridge from the printer. Rock the cartridge back and forth, then gently shake it to evenly distribute the toner powder.

Q. My printer is making grinding or rubbing noises when printing and I get an occasional jam.
A. Your pickup rollers are probably worn. This problem is typically corrected with new pickup rollers.

Q. My printouts contain a line down the page, what causes this?
A. The toner cartridge or fusing assembly usually causes this. First, change the toner cartridge if you have one in stock. If that does not correct the problem, call us for service.
